Sarah James (aka Sarah Leavesley) is an award-winning poet, fiction writer and journalist, whose first full-length poetry collection Into the Yell was published by Circaidy Gregory Press in July 2010. She has been placed and shortlisted in a number of poetry competitions. Her poems have also been widely published in anthologies and literary journals, as well as online. Sarah was poet-in-residence at Worcester's Oxfam Bookshop for National Poetry Day 2009 and is the Poetry Society's Worcester and Droitwich Stanza rep. In 2014, Sarah won the Wordpool Festival poetry competition and her poem was animated and installed in the Blackpool Illuminations (which attract an audience of 3-4 million people); she switched on the installation on National Poetry Day. Sarah's novella Kaleidoscope was published by Mantle Lane Press in March 2017 and her unpublished memoir The Myopic of Me longlisted in the 2017 New Welsh Writing Awards memoir prize.
